Responsibilities As a Radiologic Technologist at St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale, you will produce diagnostic images that enable radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Each day you will perform imaging examinations while contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of diagnostic imaging workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses. Core duties include preparing and operating radiology equipment for the correct size, depth, and detail of a requested exposure area based on physician orders and department protocols; explaining procedures to patients and responding to questions; utilizing equipment, accessories, and techniques to comfort and protect the patient, self, and others from unnecessary radiation; ensuring consistent results; cleaning equipment after each use; and delivering patient care for all age groups while performing radiological exams and/or special procedures. This full-time night role is scheduled Friday–Sunday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. (72 hours per pay period) in Diagnostic Radiology. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology and one year of recent related work experience (which may be obtained through practical education/training that demonstrates the requisite knowledge and skills). Current ARRT required. Current Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification. Preferred: work experience involving current technical aspects of patient care in a radiology department. This location requires quarterly AHA Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire through facility resources.
