Job Description
Responsibilities: Performs Computed Tomographic (CT) imaging; assists physicians during minor surgical procedures and in developing new techniques. Assists with tissue specimens, follows infection-control procedures, and employs safe radiation protection practices. Modifies imaging techniques when no physician-order change is required. Observes, monitors, and responds appropriately to patient condition during and after procedures. Transports patients, assists with fluoroscopic examinations, processes digital or film images, performs radiation-safety monitoring, records pertinent patient information, reviews charts, compiles Quality Assurance data, operates radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable x-ray equipment, arranges equipment repair, and maintains supplies and work areas.
Basic Qualifications: Three years of recent CT Technologist experience within the last 12 months, or successful completion of the department's formal CT training program.
License, Certification, Registration: California diagnostic radiologic or radiologic technologist certificate; California venipuncture and fluoroscopy certificates; ARRT radiologic technologist certification; Basic Life Support. Advanced CT certificate preferred.
Part-time variable schedule covering the service area as needed. Primary location Riverside Medical Center/Medical Offices 1. Travel up to 50%. Pay range $60.89–$65.87 per hour.
