United Health Services is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our WMC Radiology team in Johnson City, NY. This is a benefits-eligible position.

Shift: Varies

Salary range: $26 - $40/hour, depending on experience

Radiology Technologist with OR Overview

The Technologist ensures that the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff are administered in a fashion that is accurate, timely, responsive, and reliable. Customers served include UHSH employees, Medical Staff, patients, and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

• Demonstrates the ability to perform routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as operating room procedures, as requested by referring physicians as well as providing all required documentation on requisition.

• Establishes effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists, ancillary departments, and customers to ensure quality patient care is rendered.

• Ensures proper safety procedures are met and radiation safety practices are adhered to according to ALARA principles.

• Demonstrates a working knowledge of UHS information service systems.

• Provides patient education and thorough documentation to provide the best quality of care for all patient needs.

Position Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Associate degree in science in Radiologic Technology

License/Certification

• New York license as Radiologic Technologist or eligible.

• Obtain CPR Certification within the first three months of hire.
